Recruitment - Arbitrators Sydney and Regional NSW

The Workers Compensation Commission of NSW seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for appointment to the positions of Arbitrator. These roles will offer a flexible, rewarding opportunity in a dynamic statutory tribunal.

We are offering both Sessional roles based in Sydney and Regional centres as well as full time Sydney based roles with terms up to 5 years with eligibility for reappointment. Some travel may be required.

Full-time Arbitrators receive a salary of $232,730 per annum plus super (legally qualified) and $209,225 p/a plus super (not legally qualified), reviewed annually. Sessional Arbitrators are remunerated under a fee schedule, based on an hourly rate of $185.45 p/h (legally qualified) and $166.73 p/h (not legally qualified).

These roles will see you exercise quasi-judicial functions involving conciliation and arbitration of disputes under the NSW workers compensation legislation.

In order to be successful you will be a qualified legal practitioner or experienced individual with a sound knowledge of workers compensation law and practice, coupled with demonstrated alternative dispute resolution and facilitation skills and experience.
