APPROVED MEDICAL SPECIALISTS

The Workers Compensation Commission (the Commission) is established under the Workplace Injury Management and Workers Compensation Act 1998 and commenced operation on 1 January 2002. The Commission is an independent statutory tribunal within the justice system of New South Wales. The Commission’s primary function is to resolve workers compensation disputes between injured workers and their employers.
 
The Commission is seeking applications from suitably qualified specialists wishing to be appointed as Approved Medical Specialists for the Commission to undertake assessments of general medical disputes and disputes about permanent impairment. Appointments to the panel of Approved Medical Specialists are made by the President of the Commission. 

Approved Medical Specialists are required throughout New South Wales, including regional and rural areas and in a range of specialties.
